Sheriff Everett “Ed” Boober


Sheriff E. W. Boober
Sheriff Boober is
a 36+ year police veteran who served and retired from the Washington D.C.
Metropolitan Police Department and for 9 years as the Chief of Police with the
City of Ranson,
West Virginia Police Department. He was elected to the office of Jefferson
County Sheriff commencing January 1, 2000. The sheriff’s career has been
based upon the premise that officers should treat people like they, themselves would like to be treated. Professionalism,
fairness, good ethics, a positive attitude, honesty and integrity are all keys
to a successful operation. Public trust and confidence must be earned through
professionalism and fair delivery of public service in partnership with the
communities that we are sworn to serve and protect.
